Toku is a magnificent Modern Asian restaurant owned by Gillis and George Poll. It is located at Americana Manhasset, Long Island's most impressive shopping destination. Toku's minimalist and simple design was created by Bentel & Bentel Architects, award-winning designers of The Modern at MoMA. It integrates the architecture of a 19th century Japanese home with 21st century modern elements. In the dining room, a wooden trellis captures the soothing ambiance of a Japanese garden. High-tech panels crown the sleek and reflective ceiling absorbing the sounds of merriment. The spacious bar is topped with gorgeous illuminated white onyx that gives off a warm, inviting glow. Wooden bells from 19th century mainland China hang above the sushi bar while suspended sake drums, behind the bar, add a sense of jubilant ceremony. Toku's window facade completely opens for warmer days allowing a gentle breeze to flow into the bar and lounge area.
Reservations are recommended for dining room seating, while the lounge, bar and sushi bar offer a full menu without a reservation. The back dining room can be made private and is great for large groups. Toku is the perfect place to bring friends, family or clients for a cocktail, sushi or a full meal for any occasion and is open everyday for lunch and dinner.

Toku's Modern Asian menu is influenced by the cuisines of Japan, China, Korea, South East Asia and Thailand. The menu is set up for sharing and also offers a wide variety of new and classic dishes. Guests may enjoy traditional meals with an appetizer, entree and dessert, or dine exclusively on sushi. Others can order cocktails and a table full of appetizers and skewers to share. The choice is yours.

TOKU's Executive Chef is Osaka native Tomo Kobayashi. He has over 25 years of professional restaurant and hotel experience having been classically trained in French and Japanese cuisine in the United States and Japan. Chef Kobayashi has worked at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Asiate and has most notably refined his skills during the past five years working and consulting with well known Chef Christian Delouvrier at the hotel St Regis’ Lespinasse and with Chef Alain Ducasse at his signature restaurant Alain Ducasse in the Essex House Hotel in Manhattan.

Our spacious restaurant is well-suited for all kinds of parties and corporate events. Our entire facility provides room for up to 150 who wish to enjoy a sit-down function and up to 250 for cocktails. Larger outdoor cocktail parties can be done with the additional cost of a tent.

DIRECTIONS
Take the L.I.E. Exit 36. Make a left (coming from the west) and a right (coming from the east) at the light once you get off the exit ramp.
Continue north up Searingtown Road for five lights. Make a left at the sixth light onto Northern Boulevard. Make a left at the next light into Americana Manhasset. Make a quick left into the front parking lot. Toku is the 3rd door on the right.
